Founding of United Economic Forum (UEF).
UEF Charitable Trust established for supporting the Children of poor and underprivileged families.

Four children homes established at Tuticorin, Ramnad, Thiruvithancode and Tanjore where nearly 200 students are supported by way of free food, shelter and education.
Five UEF zones established viz. Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Madurai, and Tirunelveli for serving the society effectively.

Corpus Fund created for grant of scholarship to deserving and needy students enabling them to pursue professional courses.
Ahmed A.R. Buhari son of the founding father Alhaj Dr. B.S. Abdur Rahman took over as President of UEF.

A project division was established to encourage entrepreneurship development among our community.
Under the leadership of Ahmed Buhari more than 15 members attended the 9th International Conference of World Islamic Economic Forum (W.I.E.F.) held at Johor Baharu, Malaysia.
President Ahmed A.R. Buhari met Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yacop, Deputy Chairman of Khazanah, (Malaysian Govt’s US$ 40 billion Sovereign Wealth Fund) inviting them for investment in Tamil Nadu.
President Ahmed A. R. Buhari met Tan Sri Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak, Secretary General of W.I.E.F, for close ties with UEF.
26 members delegation attended 10th International Conference of W.I.E.F. at Dubai.

Ahmed A.R. Buhari signs MOU with Govt. of Tamil Nadu for expanding power plant capacity to 2,800 MW at Global Investors’ Meet on 9th September.
The first UEF Trade Summit, inaugurated by Former CM of J&K Late Mr. Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, was convened at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai, on 14th and 15th November which was first of its kind organized by our Community. Attended by over 700 leading Industrialists, businessmen, bureaucrats, 35 renowned speakers, and delegates from 7 overseas countries. It was a grand success befitting the stature of our community.
Entered into MOU with UEF members for Economic Enhancement of Rs.2,440 Crores during Trade Summit 2015
UEF launched as a Chamber of Commerce.

Curtain Raiser event for Trade Summit 2017 held during September at Hotel Radisson Blu.
United Economic Forum Chamber of Commerce convened the 2nd Edition of Trade Summit on 18th and 19th November 2017. The Trade Summit convened at Chennai Trade Centre, was inaugurated by Hon’ble Finance Minister of J&K Mr. Haseeb Drabu. It was also attended by Hon’ble Dy. CM of TN Mr. O. Panneerselvam, State Ministers, Minister of Industry & Commerce of Sri Lanka, Mr. Rishad Bathiudeen and by over 900 leading Industrialists, businessmen, bureaucrats and delegates and around 50 renowned speakers from 10 overseas countries. Excellent feedback from public and proved to be a grand event of its kind.
Entered into MOU with UEF members for Economic Enhancement of Rs.2,651 Crores during Trade Summit 2017.
Conducted International Roundtable Conference in association with World Islamic Economic Forum, Malaysia on “Innovative and Alternative Finance for Business and Infrastructure Development in India”. Attended by 600 delegates and 20 speakers from 6 overseas countries.

President and Directors convened a strategic Meet at Colombo, Sri Lanka, and met Mr. Osman Kassim, Chairman of Amana Bank, and CEO Mr. Mohamed Azmeer for introducing and facilitating Sharia Finance in Tamil Nadu.
Post meeting at Sri Lanka, Chairman of Amana Bank visited UEF and had discussions with President and Board of Directors and CEO of ORIFIL and encouraged to set up a Sharia Compliant NBFC. Consequent to which M/s Ajwa Fintech Pvt. Ltd. a NBFC has been incorporated for extending Sharia Compliant funds for 2 wheelers.
MOU signed with ACEH Chamber of Commerce, Kadin, Indonesia for promoting trade and business relationship.
